The eight-hour Second Life of a Book campaign, which took place alongside Krakon, the fantasy literature rally, was visited by over 120 books and several dozen people, some of them more than twice.

The undisputed hits of the swap were novels by Andrzej Pilipiuk, J. R. R. Tolkien and Dusan Fabian, which disappeared almost immediately. A lot of books at the exchange were mangas, to do with one of the leading themes of the rally.

A number of stands sold both fantasy books, and gadgets such as bookmarks, mouse pads, mugs, posters, badges, T-shirts, jewellery, and toys. Those who were not only impressed but also hungry were treated to freshly-made sushi. The event was full of people in costumes; among many others, our table was visited by Harry Potter looking for his parents, by Assassin, Edward Elric (Full Metal Alchemist) and girls in nekomimi (“cat ears”).
